Bricks
and Mortar Businesses
You're missing a piece of vital information or the jigsaw
Traditional bricks and mortar businesses have something that the typical online businesses don't have. You may have
guessed what it is already; it's not hard when you think about it.
The answer - It's you, your friendly staff, a real live person to speak to, someone that is human who can answer
their questions and have a chat and a joke with.
So what exactly is this vital piece of missing information/knowledge?
Most bricks and mortar business owners don't realise it but in the on-line world it's very normal for business
owners to have multiple web sites. Each one offering a specific product or service.
Why would they do this?
Business owners who are very active in the On-Line world know that when people are searching for something, the
person doing the searching is looking for an answer to their problem and this is very specific to them.
In short, people visiting a web site want to see something that helps them.
A quick example;
Lets imagine a visitor wants an "exhaust for a Vauxhall Omega". They are not looking to buy an Omega, they don't
want a new gearbox for an Omega, and they don't want to sell an Omega. The only thing a visitor wants to see is
where to get an "exhaust for a Vauxhall Omega", who can help them and how much it costs.
What's the answer for a traditional bricks and mortar business?
The real answer is to create other websites that are aimed at attracting people who are searching for products that
you sell and it's not as crazy as you might think!
Am I crazy?
If you are in any sort of bricks and mortar business I would imagine that some of this web stuff is a bit of a
black art. You may be one of the few out there that do get it and are busy making a fortune whilst others look on
in puzzlement.
I don't think I am crazy by the way because this is not as hard or any where near as costly as you might think.
By far the best, easiest and quickest way to implement other streams of income into your business is to find a
business partner who does get this web stuff and do a simple deal with them.
Agree a low monthly fee + a small percentage of any business that you gain and bingo you have a business partner
who does what they're good at, whilst you do what your good at.
The beauty of this system is that there is very little risk, low cost and your business partner only makes money
when you do.
